Welcome to the Safferton

Safferton is what many consider the capital of Versii. It is the largest settlement on the island. Buildings are made from hardy mountain stones and fir tree logs. Winter faring plants are also used for houses. It is rare to find imported materials outside of homes due to the harsh cold making it difficult for warm weather plants to thrive. Safferton has all the regular shops including a branch of the Bean Bank. It also has a dock for boats.

While not an extremely popular tourist spot most of the year, Safferton does have booming seasonal tourism during Winter. Due to its location near the Winter Palace, it sees a spike in visitors for Winter Wonderland and New Years Celebrations. The Royal family often collaborates with the town in order to coordinate the events, with the town offering direct fares to the Winter Palace and boat hire to sit on Sapphire lake during the new years festival to watch the light display.

Versii Academy of Magic is also located just outside of the town's border, with students often hanging around when not in class and during breaks.
