What are Blight Stones?

Blight stones are mysterious dark stones that appeared scattered around Prism Vale in October 2022. The stones seem to be filled with condensed corruption, in a semi-transparent outer casing. These stones can cause beanlings and flowerlings to start to become ill over time when they come into direct contact with them for too long. Blightlings and witherlings, however, can handle them with no trouble at all, and can even be empowered by them. However, if a blight or witherling was in hiding and isn't careful, these stones can reveal their true forms!

how to use blight stones

Blight stones are valuable items with multiple uses! As of now, there are currently three main applications for the items:

  • Crafting Blightling and Witherling MYO Tokens
  • Granting access to Crossed traits
  • Converting/"Revealing" Beanlings/Flowerlings as Blightlings/Witherlings

Crafting

Blight stones can be used as ingredients to convert existing MYO Token items into Blightling or Witherling Tokens! Each Beanling and Flowerling MYO token corresponds to a Blightling or Witherling token directly, and they can be exchanged along with one Blight Stone each.

  • Beanling MYO Token + Blight Stone = Blightling MYO Token of equal rarity
  • Flowerling MYO Token + Blight Stone = Witherling MYO Token of equal rarity

The Crafting page will have all recipes available, and they can only be used when the MYO tokens are still in their item form. If you have the necessary items but have accidentally already used a MYO token to create a character slot, you'll need to get into contact with a mod in order to correct it.

Crossed traits

Blight stones can be used similarly to potions when creating or editing the design of a beanling or flowerling! By using the Blight stone by attaching them to a design update, a character is granted the option of adding 1-3 blightling-specific traits or mutations to a beanling character! Flowerlings that are updated with the use of a Blight stone will also have access to witherling-specific mutations and traits as well.
There are some restrictions to this application:

  • Beanlings and Flowerlings' dew cannot become corruption.
    • Invalid Crosses: Sealed Corruption, Crystalized Corruption
  • Beanlings and Flowerlings cannot obtain Cores or Core Mutations.
    • Invalid Crosses: Odd Core Placement, Multi-Core, Core Frame, Large Core Window, Floating Core, All Core Types, Sealed Feelers
  • Beanlings and Flowerlings' wish tags cannot become curse tags.
    • Invalid Crosses: Long String, Fancy Ties, Odd String, Charmed String

converting/"Revealing" Blights and withers

Along with their ability to  assist in the creation of new blightlings and witherlings, the Blight stones also have one final function: Changing existing Beanling and Flowerlings into Blightlings and Witherlings!

With the reveal of blightlings and witherlings as a whole, there also was the reveal that they had been living amongst the beanlings in Prism Vale already for quite some time. Some knowingly, some so glamoured that they didn't even realize it themselves.  Because of this, if these blights-in-hiding interact with Blight stones, they can be revealed as blightlings! In order to make these changes, you simply need to submit a character design update with your character having been converted to a blightling and attach the necessary items.

Revealed (With Glamour, created before 2022)
  • Beanlings and Flowerlings that are revealed as blightlings/witherlings are able to keep their "glamour" form (original design) to change into at will, and this will be considered an acceptable design to represent them in official submissions. The blightling form will, however, be the image displayed on the masterlist.
  • This change is considered permenant. After this point, your character will remain and be considered for all on-site purposes to be a blightling/witherling.
    • When submitting a character update for this option, a Void Fragment and Blight Stone must both be attached to the submission of the new masterlist image/character update.
    • Note: For characters that were created before October 2022, this option is open to be used once at no cost to the owner! This will be valid until November 30th, 2024, at 11:59 pm EST. After this cut off time, all characters will require items to access glamour-included conversions.
Converted (No Glamour, created after 2022)
  • Beanlings and Flowerlings that are being converted entirely to blightlings without maintaining the "glamour" form will require a Blight Stone only to be attached to the submission of the new masterlist image/character update.
  • This change is considered permenant, and the new design will be considered the only valid form for the character in regards to submissions on-site (unless otherwise stated in a prompt). After this point, your character will remain and be considered for all on-site purposes to be a blightling/witherling.
    • Note: For characters that were created before October 2022, this option is open to be used once at no cost to the owner! This will be valid until November 30th, 2024, at 11:59 pm EST. After this cut off time, all characters will require items to access glamour-included conversions.

Minimum Design Requirements for Reveals/Conversions:
    • Dew must be converted to Corruption
    • Core window must be present and visible
    • Wish ribbon(s) must be converted into curse tag(s).
    • Other pre-existing Traits/Mutations may be kept as "Crossed" traits, or they can be changed to a blightling-specific Trait/Mutation of the same rarity with no added cost.
    • Pre-existing Traits/Mutations that would be considered "Crossed" but are no longer wanted may be removed at no cost.
    • Changes to  existing traits that would change the rarity tier can be applied via potions, or by using the same currency conversions as Growing your Beanlings
    • Each converted design may have no more than five crossed traits and mutaions.

A guide to which traits are exclusive to each species can be found here.

How to convert/reveal your beanlings to blightlings

  • Go to the My Characters tab.
  • Select the character your would like to cchange.
  • Under Settings, go to Update Design tab.
  • Select Create Request.
  • There are 4 tabs you must fill out: Comments, Masterlist Image, Add-ons and Traits. Select each section, fill out the information needed, then hit save. Note: Even if you don't have anything to add to a section, you still must hit save on the tab to be able to submit the request!
  • Comments: For conversions, please submit this form:
    • Keeping or Scrapping previous design: (Use this to let us know if you're going to keep the previous design as a glamour or not)
Traits/Mutations Added: (Use this space for traits/mutations that have been newly added; IE, core traits)
Traits/Mutations Changed: (Use this space to show which traits/mutations are being swapped out for others, and the items being used to cover the difference in rarities if necessary)
Traits/Mutations Removed: (Use this space to list any traits/mutations that have been fully removed, such as dew mutations that are no longer compatible with the new blight's corruption.)
  • Masterlist Image: This is mandatory for any species change! Submit an image of your character in their new blight/witherling form, preferably with a transparent background and minimal/no shading (for sake of clarity of colors/markings). Masterlist art may include small accessories (piercings, ribbons, hair clips, etc) but nothing that obscures large portions of the design.
  • Add-ons: Here you can select items to be applied to your beanling. These items will be consumed upon approval. For most conversions/reveals, this will require at least a Blight Stone and/or a Void Fragment, and may include currency or potions as well.
  • Traits: Add any new traits you'd like to purchase - these can be adjusted by mods if there are any issues.
  • Once all tabs are green, go to status and submit request! Mods usually check design requests at least once a week, and if your design is approved then they will then be updated on the Masterlist. If rejected, you will receive feedback for any changes that need to be made.
    • If you've had a design update in queue for more than 7 days with no feedback or change, and there has been no announcement of a slow-mode or hiatus of the group, feel free to reach out to a mod! All we ask is that you do so kindly, we're only human and sometimes need a bit of extra patience when life gets hectic.
