Quick description of your couple: 'Fauna is a gentle flowerling with a love for animals and other creatures, big and small. She keeps a sanctuary for abandoned creatures and is known for bringing home any injured animals that she may come across and rehabilitating them. This happens often enough that if other beanlings or flowerlings know of an animal that needs more dedicated care they either bring them to Fauna or let her know.
When reports of an injured creature roaming near the snowy mountains of Versii reached her, Fauna packed some supplies, bundled herself up and made her way toward the mountains in search of it. By the time she was able to locate it (it had made it quite a bit aways from the nearest town) there wasn’t much more than an hour of daylight left.
Meanwhile, Feng made a point to be aware of any outsiders approaching too closely to his mountain, and it was hard to not notice the bright spot of green against the snowy white expanse. While he typically would make a point to keep any strangers away from his home, he couldn’t help but have his curiosity piqued by this flowerling that came so far out just for one animal most others would leave to the elements (and if he were to be honest, he had a soft spot for animals too, but he’d never actually admit it to anyone).
Knowing Fauna wouldn’t make it to town before dark he went down to meet her and offered to house the animal in his cave for the night to protect it from the harsh cold. Fauna agreed on the condition that she could stay too so that she could make sure it was well cared for, determined to make the trek back anyways if not. Taken aback by the seriousness in her tone, he agreed.
Feng would check in on them several times throughout the night under the pretense of being cautious of having a stranger in his home, secretly listening in while Fauna focused on making sure the rescued animal was safe and comfortable and telling Feng’s children of the other creatures she cared for and tales of her other expeditions.
