For once the updates did not mess up and everything went smoothly, well, for the most part, there is of course a small error. 

PATCH NOTES:

• Character Transfers:

  • Issue with transfers has been fixed, feel free to initiate transfers once again!
    
    

• Advent Calendar:

  • A fun new activity has been added to the site for future events. This feature allows admin to create an advent calendar that can be accessed by players for a set amount of days. Each day can award a specified prize, meaning that during advent events players will be able to log in daily to receive a free item or currency. It also has and option to allow for a bonus prize for collecting all prizes. I look forward to using this feature in the future!

• Shops:

  • New shop feature: Coupons! 
  • Coupons can be used in certain shops to give discounts. This features will be set up in the future.
  • Restricted Shop access: Item requirements to enter!
  • This feature allows the creation of a shop that can only be accessed if a user has the required item. I have an idea for a secret Pirate's Bounty shop that can only be accessed if you have a legendary key (will be legendary and super rare) The shop will have special items yet to be determined and beans!

• Character Drops:

  • NPCs will now be able to potentially drop mystery boxes! This feature will be applied to Flowerling NPCs only. Every day, all flowerling NPCs will have a 10% chance to drop a Myster Wheel Box(Temp) - Has 100% drop rate), the other 90% will drop nothing. Simply clicking on their masterlist entry will automatically award their item, however, you can also check your prize by clicking on the NPC and checking their new tab COLLECT NPC DAILY GIFTS. This will show the prize awarded for the day. The prize also appears next to their species name on their information page like so:

    SPECIES:

    Flowerling (NPC) (NPC Gift: Nothing!)
  • Periodically the prize given will be changed to fit current events.

• Linages and Links:

  • Characters who have offical lineage (Sprouting beanlings and their parents) Will now have their lineage offically tracked on site (not just in the description box). Due to the number, this process may take some time, however, lineages will be updated soon. This will be used to track parent, children/siblings and grandparents.
  • Characters can now also be linked together. This feature is pretty much the same as the links feature used on Toyhou.se if anyone is familiar.
  • You simply click on the links tab on your characters page and select Request Link. Here you can add characters you wish to link by using their character code (eg: BEAN-00##). Characters you own will auto-link and not require approval, approval will be require if the beanling is owned by another user. Once your link is request and approved, you can set your relationship status and write a quick blurb describing the characters relationship. You may do this for both characters and can even set the relationship to a different status per character  (eg: one thinks of the other as a friend while the other is crushing.)

• Misc:

  • There is a pets feature that is currently not in use due to a coding error. I am unsure when this feature will be usable, so stay tuned. 

• Known issues:

  • There is currently a known issue where clicking on notifications (next to the submit button on the right side) gives a 500 error. This is being worked on.

MISC:

Also, just a quick note, if you guys have any questions about the group lore or anything relating to beanlings, please feel free to leave a comment with your question. I am planning to delve deeper into beanling lore and their world and start to flesh out some things this year so it would be nice to know if anyone has anything in particular they would like to know!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone has/had a wonderful start to the new year. I hope that 2021 will be a great year.

I just want to give everyone a quick heads up on some future plans/timeline for Beanling Patch 2021!

Timeline:

January:

• There will be 3 Auctions for Jan 2021. Just a quiet month.
• There will also be a free giveaway for all the beanlings that didn't find homes last year <3 Priority will be first-time owners.

February:

• Valentines themed prompts + adopts.
• Will include another small gift exchange with sketches. Rewards will be EC and Sweet Chocolate Surprises or Red Envelopes!
• Chinese New Year Flowerling Auction!
• Preparations for Sprouting!

March:

• Sprouting! Sprouting will be the same as last year, $15 per half slot - 1 Beanling (Full slot is $30 - 2 Beanlings). NPCs will be available as well as Single and Ready to Mingle random pairings. Pairs will breed 5 beanlings, the slot owners have first pick, the remaining beanlings will then be sold as a flat sale raffle at the end of the month. 
• There will not be any traditional adoptables for this month, only the sprouting flaffle at the end of the month.
• There will be at least 2 pairs per week, potentially more! So a minimum of 8 pairs chosen to sprout.

April:

• Easter Festival Event will be back, though this time a little more chill than last year.
• Easter Festival will only be a standard prompt with potentially 2-3 entries.
• 4 x Easter Egg Scavenger hunt! Thats's one hunt per week! Earn Easter Eggs which can be exchanged for EC or opened for a random surprise!

May:

• It's Mermay again!
• Merbeans will be back again in full force, I'm planning to do at least 4 Flowerling Auctions and some OTA/Giveaway beanlings again.

June:

• TBA

July:

• TBA

August:

• TBA

September:

• Release the Halloween Advent for pre-claims!

October:

• Halloween Advent reveal.
• Possible Halloween events.

Novemeber: 

• Winter Wonderland preparations.

Those are my plans so far for the start of the year <3 I thought I should share this with you guys, especially my planned time for Sprouting as I know some of you are also planning on entering similiar events around the same time (me too ahaha). I'm planning for the events to be a bit more chill so I can take a little tiny break. I would like to maybe spend some time updating art and information for the site, maybe expand on the lore a bit more, just little things to make the world more emersive. I would also like to work on a lore-based story driven set of monthly prompts - probably something short to start with, but eventually I would love to run a long event where the prompts tell and over-arching story. But we will see how it all goes ahaha.

Once again we've had a rocky last couple of days with some update issues, however, everything is now resolved and the site is back up with some new features!

PATCH NOTES:

• Character Transfers:

  • Add a reason field to user-initiated character transfers, please make sure to add a reason when transfering characters!
    
    

• Credit Page:

  • Credits Page/Extension Tracker: Adds a credit page and extension tracking system. Includes credits for extensions merged into core as well as a system for adding credit for additional extensions added to a site. Basically it shows the credits for everyone who has worked on the code for the site in some way! Big shout out to the lorekeeper community!

• Reports:

  • There are currently links on all pages that allow users to make bug or complaint reports. There is also a option to submit a report under submit next to your user menu and there is also access to bug reports from the left hand submit option. Reports are now open so if you find anything that is broken or against the group rules please feel free to submit via the site!

• Misc:

  • MYO slots cannot be transferred to off-site users.
  • Fixed issue where User profile inventory display shows items with a count of 0.

• Due to the nature of the holidays, there isn't any way to know how busy Toffee-tama will be on any given day. Therefore each sale will be posed on the day listed whenever Toffee-tama is available to do so, thus no set time is listed. There will be some notice in the discord for auctions.
• Auctions will end after the last bid has stood uncontested for 24hrs.
• All flat sales will be held as raffles, therefore allowing everyone interested a chance to enter. There will be 48hrs to enter with the winner drawn in the discord withing 24hrs.
• All sales are subject to the usual sales rules found in the TOS here.
• General rule of thumb, all payments are to be made within 24hrs unless dicussed prior.

It's been a rocky 8 days, but finally all the new new updates are here and the site should be working 100% (though let me know in the discord error chat if you find any!) Hopefully this is the last updates for a while and I have learnt quite a bit so I'm better prepared for next update whenever it is (hopefully not for ages plz!)

PATCH NOTES:

• Gallery:

  • This has been the major update, adding a art gallery to the site!
    
    • Submit all your beanling related artworks and writing to the site Gallery!
    • Browse the different galleries for specific artworks.
    • Upload both art and writing. 
    • Add a title and description of your work. You can also add collaborators and participants (for things like art trades!)
    • List content warnings, tag related prompts and add your displayed characters.
    • Favourite works you like and add comments!
    • Post thumbnails via the Mention This links located on the right bottom side of works.

• Characters:

  • Add a profile link in your characters profile (eg: toyho.use link.).
  • Chose to allow gift art and gift writing via character profile. This will display a status icon at the top of your characters information page.
  • Set your characters trading status via character profile. This will display a status icon at the top of your characters information page.
  •  

• Scavenger Hunts:

  • This feature allows for the creation of fun little scavenger hunts on the site!
  • A clue will be created and special links with hunt targets will be added around the site.
  • Hunt targets are items with a specified quantity. They are granted to the user on being claimed, and can only be claimed once. Each target is assigned a number, 1-10, per hunt, based on the order they are added to the hunt. Targets can be deleted so long as the hunt has not had any participants, as doing so after would break the logs. Users will also be shown the number of targets they have found out of the total, so make sure you have only the number of targets desired before the hunt goes live!

• Reports:

  • There are currently links on all pages that allow users to make bug or complaint reports. However, this feature is currently still a WIP and is closed.

MISC:

Regarding other things:

There is not new monthly prompt for Novemeber due to all the site issues. However, that means that all the October events including BOSS have been extended until the end of Novemeber! You may also submit up to 6 entries for the monthly prompt!

Design updates and MYO approvals are also now open once again.

Also, be on the look out for information regarding a special Beanling Patch secret santa MYO exchange being run by the lovely Spottednova and Ceruleans_blues!

Hello everyone!

If you haven't noticed, the site has been down for the last few days due to a major site update that resulted in Toffee-tama having to reinstall the site. However, all of you data is safe and everything should be working as normal with a few new additions!

Patch notes:

• User Profiles:

  • Comments: You can now add comments to user profiles! Please use them responsibly!
  • User Avatars: You can now add an avatar to your profile! To do so simple go to settings and upload your desired avatar. I believe the avatar size is 100x100pxls.
  • User Profiles: If you go to settings, you can now write a profile for yourself! Feel free to include anything you like including your social links!

• Sales:

  • There is now a dedicated sales channel. So instead of adoptable sales being posted in the news section, they now have their own section called Sales. To find sales, simply go to the Browse menu and you will find it at the bottom.

• Comments:

  • Certain sections now allow comments so feel free to comment if it's enabled and you have question or feedback.

• Crafting:

  • Crafting is now available on site!
  • To craft items simply head over to the Crafting Prompts Category. You can also find crafting prompts in the general prompt section and via submit prompt.
  • For more information, please check the crafting prompts!

• Inventory:

  • Item stacks: Items now stack in your inventory! So instead of having 5 individual items, they now appear as item x5!

• Character Items:

  • Your characters can now equip their equipment and familiars directly into their personal inventories. Please remember, you can only carry 1 of each item type, duplicates will be disregarded.
  • You can also add names to your familiars!

• Item Updates:

  • Items will now display the following additional information:
    • Rarity
    • Purchase locations
    • Drop locations
      Occassionally:
    • Item Artist
    • Original Source
  • Items can now be sold in your inventory directly. Simply click the item you wish to sell and click "Sell Item". You will be prompted to confirm sale and recieve the specified curreny and amount. This replaced the previously implemented Box mechanic, returning it strictly for use with openable box items.

• Prompts:

  • As briefly mentioned in the discord, going forward all prompts will be processed within roughly 72hrs of submitting. This is the keep the ques nice and tidy.

Misc:

Due to the site being down for a few days I have decided to extend this months prompts! The new end date for all Halloween Events (including BOSS) has been extended until the 11PM AWST on the 4th Novemeber. 

If you continued to make your BOSS attempt during the outage, please submit all your prompt claims now. I will continue to award the trick or treat boxes as normal after work tomorrow.
